GTA 6 music: frequently asked questions

- How many radio stations are in GTA 6?
- Six so far: Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics. Rockstar named them on October 8, 2026 and said the full line-up includes classic rock and talk radio and is the biggest radio selection in the series, but gave no total. The GTA 6 radio stations page lists only the stations Rockstar has named, with their hosts and songs.
- Who are the GTA 6 radio hosts?
- Twelve artists host the six announced stations, two per station: Bad Bunny and RaiNao on Cocoteo FM (as El Martillo and La Gata), Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey on Back Country Radio (as MW and Delta Dawne), Burna Boy and Palms Trax on AfroBank FM (as Burna and Palmsy), Kerry King and Tom Araya of Slayer on The Chamber 106.6 (as DJ Kerry and DJ Tom), Robyn and the model Alex Consani on Flash FM, and Trick Daddy and Trina on Dirty South Classics. Rockstar uses only the on-air names; Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, The Fader and Kotaku named the artists the same day. The full list is on the hosts page.
- What song is in the GTA 6 trailer?
- Trailer 1 (December 4, 2023) uses "Love Is a Long Road" by Tom Petty (1989). Trailer 2 (May 6, 2025) is built around "Hot Together" by The Pointer Sisters (1986), with short car-radio snippets by Jay Ferguson, Zenglen, Wang Chung and Tammy Wynette. Rockstar credits both main songs in the YouTube descriptions of the videos.
- What song is in the GTA 6 launch trailer?
- "Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice, with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. It came out as a single with the launch trailer on October 15, 2026 and is track 6 on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. Justice also composed the original score of the game.
- What songs were in the GTA 6 Extended Look?
- Fourteen licensed songs, identified by SVG, Consequence, Red Bull and NME in the 26-minute Extended Look of August 27, 2026. They include "Pop Bottles" by Birdman and Lil Wayne, "Love Bites" by Def Leppard, "People Are People" by Depeche Mode, "Against All Odds" by Phil Collins and "Skrilla" by Kodak Black. Rockstar has published no tracklist and no station names for them.
- What is Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album?
- Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is the official soundtrack album: 34 original songs, made with Atlantic Records, out on November 19, 2026, the same day as the game. Nine singles are out, by Travis Scott, Yung Lean, Morgan Wallen, Cardi B, Fuerza Regida, Rauw Alejandro, Keith Richards, Justice and the "Sexy Magic" team of CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy. It comes on streaming, vinyl and CD.
- Who composed the GTA 6 score?
- Justice, the French electronic duo. Rockstar confirmed it with the launch trailer and has promised details of the "dynamic score" and an official score album later.
- Is Flash FM back in GTA 6?
- Yes. Flash FM returns as the pop station, hosted by Robyn and Alex; Rockstar calls it "the Vice City institution". The station first aired in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in 2002.
- What country songs are in GTA 6?
- Three are known from Back Country Radio, the GTA 6 country station: "Need a Little Time Off for Bad Behavior" by David Allan Coe (1987), "Don't Come Home A-Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)" by Loretta Lynn (1966) and "The Conversation" by Hank Williams Jr. and Waylon Jennings (1979). Consequence identified them in Rockstar's official preview; Rockstar has not credited them yet. Morgan Wallen, who hosts the station as MW, also has the original song "Last Thing You Need" on The Album. The full station tracklist comes with the game on November 19, 2026.
- What metal songs are in GTA 6?
- Three are known from The Chamber 106.6, the GTA 6 metal station: "Raining Blood" by Slayer (1986), "I" by Black Sabbath (1992) and "I'm Broken" by Pantera (1994). Consequence and The Fader identified them in Rockstar's official preview. Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya host the station as DJ Kerry and DJ Tom, and Rockstar describes its music as "timeless metal anthems".
- Can you listen to the radio on foot in GTA 6?
- Yes. For the first time in the series, Jason and Lucia can play radio stations and on-demand podcasts on foot as well as in vehicles, through headphones and earbuds connected to their phones.
- Does GTA 6 have podcasts?
- Yes. Rockstar says GTA VI adds on-demand podcasts for Jason and Lucia, a first for the series. No podcast names or hosts have been announced.
- Where can I listen to the GTA 6 radio previews?
- On Rockstar's official music page, rockstargames.com/VI/music. It has a preview of about two minutes for each of the six stations, with the hosts talking, plus the album singles. This site hosts no Rockstar audio: the songs heard in the previews play here through YouTube.
- Is there a GTA 6 playlist?
- Yes. Play all on the songs list plays every song in this database in an embedded YouTube player, and each station page plays the songs from its preview. The official album, Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, is listed on Spotify.
- Is the full GTA 6 soundtrack tracklist out?
- No. At our last check on October 22, 2026, Rockstar had named six stations, 18 preview songs and nine album singles. SVG, Consequence, Red Bull, NME and Official Charts identified the trailer and Extended Look songs from official footage. Songs and stations known only from leaks are not published here. The full station tracklists go up when the game comes out on November 19, 2026.
- Does this site list rumoured GTA 6 songs?
- No. Every song on the songs list is either confirmed by Rockstar, the label or the artist, or reported by a named outlet that identified it in an official trailer, the Extended Look or a station preview. Songs, stations and artists known only from leaked footage or leaked documents are left out, because nothing official backs them. The About page explains each label.
- Will the GTA 6 soundtrack be on vinyl or CD?
- Yes. The Album comes on standard vinyl ($49.98), CD ($19.98) and a limited liquid-filled vinyl ($124.98, sold out at pre-order). A splatter vinyl and a jewel-case CD are exclusive to gtavi-thealbum.com, and retailers such as Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Urban Outfitters and Blood Records have their own vinyl colourways.
- Is this site official?
- No. GTA6 Soundtrack is an independent fan project, not affiliated with Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive or Atlantic Records. Every entry links to its source and carries a status: C when Rockstar, the label or the artist confirmed it, R when a named outlet reported it from official material. Rumours (E) are not published.
